Ukrgasvydobuvannya stabilizes gas production: positive dynamics reached in December 2021

In December 2021, Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC provided production of 1.109 bcm of natural gas for Ukrainian consumers (sale gas – excluding in-process consumption). This is 2.6 mmcm of gas more than in the same period last year. Moreover, by the end of December 2021, the company ensured increase in average daily gas production to 38.3 mmcm, which is 0.2 mcmm more than in the same period last year.

Production stabilization was achieved thanks to the launch of the updated Chervonodonetsk compressor station at Shebelinsky field and a number of productive wells. We are talking about a well at the newly discovered Skidanovsky field, which produces 200 tcm of gas per day, and other wells completed in December with a total daily flow rate of 430 tcmpd.

Annual natural gas production in 2021 reached 13.67 bcm, of which 12.93 bcm was transferred to the needs of consumers. Compared to the same period in 2020, production declined by 3.97% or 0.56 bcm. The volume of gas transferred decreased by 3.84% or 0.52 bcm respectively.

To stabilize production indicators during 2021, Ukrgasvydobuvannya performed the following measures: 50 new wells were drilled and tied-in to the surface facilities; 243 workovers were carried out; 609 coiled tubing operations were performed; 105 hydraulic fracturing operations were carried out; 11 sidetracking operations were done; 77 wells were equipped with gaslift systems. As of the end of 2021, a project was completed to equip 386 high-yield wells with a remote monitoring system. 2,973 geophysical surveys and other well operations were carried out by in-house and third-party contractors, which is 21% more than planned.
